This is a regression of ~~CONF-7401~~, caused by the wrong version of Lucene being included in WEB-INF/lib/ (~~CONF-9249~~).

The error looks like this:

com.atlassian.bonnie.LuceneException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: .../confluence-home/index/_135.del (Too many open files)

A workaround will be posted once we've determined the definitive list of JARs to remove.
