Thanks guys! Did this have to do with my database choice? I'm trying to sell one of our clients on using Confluence but can't get the groups setup until this fix goes out..

Not a database-specific issue from what I've seen, we experienced this with a PostgreSQL 8.1 back-end as well after migration from 2.2.9 to 2.5.

This will happen in all configurations

The null pointer exception has been fixed, but the resulting page still displays incorrectly:

Now, the page just displays a debug string like "user: [***] email: [*********] fullName: [*****]" rather than the appropriate links and formatted text.

I also upgraded to 2.5.1 and found the same problem. Also, the title in the breadcrumbs looks like a debug string

Jeremy and Grant,

Since the original issue has been resolved, please open another ticket for this new problem you are experiencing.

Please submit:

  • a screenshot
  • and attach your latest log files

And please close down this issue once you've done this.

Cheers,
Dave
