I would like to have a GUI way of changing the author of a page (or set of pages). Often we import a bunch of pages, but the author needs to be changed to another user. Or an existing author leaves and we need to re-assign a document.

I have another challenge that is related. We updated to use LDAP integration, and for those users who did not start w/ a username matching their LDAP username, they're unable to edit content under the LDAP name where it was marked to be edited only by them. They wish to retain exclusive control of that content but can't do it w/o logging in with their old user.

We'd be interested in this as well, to be used in tandem with email import so that the page author could be reassigned to the author of the original email, either programatically or via the UI.

Needed too. After migrating an old wiki to confluence, I realized having some author name like "wiki importer" would be more appropriate than my own, for a whole bunch of reasons.
Being able to do this through the remote api would be preferable, thus allowing a simple script to replace hundreds of clicks

Same thing here, Importing a lot of pages from an other wiki, and would like to set the author on individual topics after import.
I could even go with using a simple user interface for the task.
