The userlister macro doesn't seem to function properly with confluence authenticating against AD. We are able to authenticate with AD groups, and in the administration function I can browse the group in question and see all members, but putting a macro of {userlister:groups=AD.Group} returns nothing at all. There are no errors generated that I can see, just no userlist expansion.

Same problem for me, also 2.2.9 and AD. Even {userlister:online=true} does not show anything.

We are seeing the same problem on 2.6.2. userlister returns no users from AD groups. Confluence internal groups work fine, but we are not using them for permissions.

Were having the same issue here.
We use AD integration and its working like it should, permissions work, listing from administration search works, were running version 2.8.2, right now using a Workgroup license for testing it and confirm that things work before considering implementing it globaly.
However, when using it towards the confluence-users group, i get 1 user up(also added through AD, but that one is the only one showing), any ideas what to do?
Edit
If it helps:
We are running confluence on a linux Redhat server, connecting it to 2003 AD mixed mode
