 Description  « Hide
Windows AD supports using DNS and the SRV record type to provide information about a service.

The record _ldap._tcp.ad.company.com will return a list of SRV records listing the port and DNS name of all the valid LDAP servers for the domain. This allows clients to find an LDAP server in the event that the primary server becomes unavailable or decomissioned.
