In my profile:

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/~dhardiker%2540adaptavist.com (View tab) says "Email format: Text"
http://confluence.atlassian.com/users/viewnotifications.action (Watches tab) says "Email format: HTML" (in the drop down)

The view should be consistent with the actual setting.
