The new feature would be a new field when creating a template which is "Default Page Title". If "select template" is chosen upon page-creation and no title is entered yet this default title will be used.
Background:
Currently creating a new space is a lot of work for me because I have a predefined structure for every space:
1. Home
1.1 Includes - Includes which might be used all over the space
1.1.1 Space Left Navigation - the navigation part for the Space-Homepage to decrease "scrolling" when you need to edit the contents of the Homepage
1.2 Space Relatives - Is used to render Space Left Navigation, Background: E. g. for a company with Sales-, Marketing. and R&D-dept. there are different spaces which all are "subspaces" of the "Company Space". To easily navigate from space to space I added them as part of the left navigation column of the space's homepage.
1.2.1 Child Spaces - contains subpages which are redirects to the other spaces
1.2.2 Parent Spaces - see Child Spaces
1.2.3 Sibling Spaces - see Child Spaces
1.3 Lost and Found - I personally like to have the pages with no parent very obvious available. This is due to the fact that the "Parent" field often clears while selecting a template page and thus leads to Orphaned Pages.
The names are mandatory as they are used in
{include}-statements and it should help readers of that space to detect "administrative" pages. Therefore it would be really nice to have this Default Page Title-feature to prevent typos.
