We'd really like to see smaller URL's to connect to Confluence pages. With a really long page name you could end up with a humongous URL that just causes email programs to screw up the line wrapping.

Instead of (or in addition to) this:

http://confluence.mycompany.com/display/MP/This+Is+A+Really+Long+Page+Title+That+One+Of+Our+Artists+Made

how about this:

http://confluence.mycompany.com/?id=23

?

Most of the time people are using URL's in confluence they're just viewing pages. Seems like that ought to be as simple and short as possible.
