Currently we hard-wire confluence-users as the group every user gets put into when they are registered. This should be configurable.

I am in favor of this idea. It would facilitate auto-provisioning of access to spaces that are "quasi-public".

Would be good if this played nicely with LDAP integration as well; i.e., automatically add all LDAP-created users to confluence-users (or other groups).
