In the view attachments Tab, there are those arrows next to the latest version of each document? Clicking on them doesn't seem to do anything. I would expect clicking on them, it would collapse all previous version of file.

Hi Paul,

I tried this and the arrows work fine for me on Confluence 2.7.1, using Firefox 3b5 and MacOS10.4. It could be related to the theme you're using, or possibly the browser. Would you mind attaching a screenshot and telling me what theme and browser you're using?

Cheers,
Don

We are experiencing the same issue Confluence 2.7.1 pages when using IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254,
Firefox 2.0.0.14,and Firefox 3 Beta 2, Safari 3.1.1.

They all exhibit the same behavior of showing all versions of a document, but when you click the Triangle next to the most recent version it rotates 90 degrees, but continues to show all versions of the document.

Thanks Robert.

The theme that we are using is the top and left nav theme.

The browsers are

IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254
Firefox 2.0.06
Safari 3.0.4

Hi Don,

Do we have any updates on this issue, or any news?

Thanks

Robert

Hi All,

I've verified that this bug occurred in the Classic and LeftNav themes in Confluence 2.7.1.
I've also verified that it no longer occurs in 2.8.1. It was most likely fixed in the 2.8 UI work.

Cheers,
Don

Hi Don,

It is good to hear that the bug has been fixed in 2.8.1 however we are going to stay on 2.7.1 for a while (at least couple more months). Is there a patch / simple things that I can change to make it work for 2.7 ?

Thanks.

Paul

Sorry.. I understood your response.. I though you put in a fix for 2.8.1. Oh well, I guess we have to live with it.

Howdy folks – This bug affects the 2.7.x branch (I can confirm it in 2.7.3). I know the standard answer is, "Just Upgrade to the latest, that fixes it." But I'm betting many customers have regular upgrade cycles and will be using 2.7.x for potentially a long time. So what is Atlassians policy on back-porting fixes? Does the legendary support only apply to the latest release? <grin>

Hi Tim,

There's not an ultra-clear policy. Support will sometimes make a patch for customers on older version if they are being drastically affected by it. Obviously the more time we spend doing work making patches, the less time we can spend fixing other bugs.

I'm really curious about why you're asking this Tim. I hope I don't appear rude, I'm just very surprised. There have been so many comments on this bug and I can't imagine how it can have enough impact on using Confluence to even report the bug, let alone request a patch. I'm obviously missing something. Am I underestimating the number of attachment versions you have? Why is it so important?

Cheers,
Don
