Dashboard's "Recently-Updated" strips characters

    Description

      It looks as though the default "Recently Updated" on Dashboard strips certain characters before outputting the content. For example:

      I updated a news item with the string "side-by-side".

      Dashboard strips the dashes and outputs "sidebyside".
