Some projects use tags (e.g. current) to promote changes. It would be useful to provide a way for Bamboo to build from this tag, as well as be notified when to build based on changes in the tag contents (when new versions of files are tagged)

Hi Yuval,

Bamboo is capable of building from tags and detecting changes in tags. You just need to use the Tag name as you would the Branch name.
I will update the documentation and source configuration screen to better reflect this functionality.
