Currently there are no cache-control headers on the static resources (images, css etc.), so they are being downloaded every page refresh (every 10 secs). The forest page downloads 250k every time. Causes annoying visual flicker as well as increased network traffic.

If these are really static files, then use the CacheFilter with the time parameter set to "-1" and f.e. the max-age parameter set to "240".
