Environment:Atlassian's internal bamboo instance.
I received this email this morning, and it struck me that it could be improved:
The project Confluence - Unit Tests has the following 1 change(s) by 1 author(s): *Samuel Le Berrigaud* made the following changes at 2007-01-09 09:45:20.0 Comment: Fixing unit tests after refactoring cache managers. > > confluence/src/test/etc/testApplicationContext.xml (1.136) > > confluence/src/test/java/com/atlassian/confluence/cluster/TestEvictedCache.java (1.4) > > confluence/src/test/java/com/atlassian/confluence/core/TestDefaultContentPropertyManager.java (1.9) The build has 0 failed tests and 1066 successful tests. Click http://keg.sydney.atlassian.com:8080/bamboo/browse/CONF-MAIN-1305 to find out more. Thanks, Bamboo
Some suggestions:
- We know how many authors and comments there are. Why the '(s)' ?
- Can we use a more user friendly date? How about, 9:45am on 9/Jan/07 ?
- If all tests are successful, can we just say 'All 1066 tests passed' ? '0 failed tests' whilst technically correct, sounds awful.
- The 'from' address is just 'bamboo@atlassian.com'. Can we change that to have a nice name (perhaps use the application's name? 'Atlassian's Bamboo instance' or something similar?
It would also be great to have HTML versions of these emails, but I'll raise a separate issue for that.
