Hi Riaz,
I have tried to replicate the problem with the installer screen with no luck. Have you seen this problem again since 0.6.2? Would you have any ideas how I can replicate this? Many thanks, Don't know how you can replicate it. Every time I download the exe, open it, then press next twice i get the folder selector in a squished window. It's happened on two machines now, just tried it with the 0.7.1 exe as well.
As it seems like a layout issue (padding taking control somewhere), just wondering how you made the installer? did you use a layout manager like jgoodies form layout? probably worth checking the panel for the 'bamboo home location' and 'select destination directory' and seeing what's different, as they both have the exact same stuff on it. the only difference is that there's no message at the bottom - maybe that bottom blank label is too big or has a fill preference? If you show me the code I can try and help. Apart from that I don't know what else to suggest. I could try it on some other random machines like my home ones if you want but because of the layout I'm guessing it's a generic issue. HI Riaz,
As part of the recent Bamboo release, we have upgraded to a new version of Install4j with a completely different implementation for that screen. I am marking this one as resolved for now. Please let me know if the problem still persists. Many thanks, |

Thanks for the report. I'll have a look into why that screen isn't appearing properly.
As for what this folder is supposed to be - this is the "Bamboo Home" directory, not the installation folder (which is the previous screen in the install process). This folder is where Bamboo will store your app settings, the index, and database.
The default folder for this screen is the same as the default folder for the previous screen. So for a Windows machine, it will be something like C:\Program Files\Bamboo (install dir), and C:\Program Files\bamboo-home (Bamboo Home dir).
Hope this clear things up a bit.
Regards,
Edwin
