After discussing this issue with my supervisor, we would like to request that LDAP integration be available through the Administraion control panel using the same format as Fisheye:

Display name attribute:
Cache TTL (positive):
Auto-add:

To elaborate on this, I specifically request that a tab/link be added to Bamboo to configure an LDAP server for authentication. The Fisheye example above was a suggestion as to the fields the tab/link should include. All we want is for users to be able to use their LDAP username/passwords to login to Bamboo. We have read that this is being worked on by the Bamboo staff, but this is a request by us (The University of Iowa) to eventually have it worked in as a tab/link.
In the alternative, allowing us to integrate LDAP in any fashion is a very high priority. A configuration file with documentation would be sufficient to satisfy our immediate concerns. We have a lot of users that need to login to Bamboo who have LDAP usernames and passwords.

Anthony,

We should have the LDAP integration all sorted for 1.1. We won't have the UI tab for configuring it, but it should be easy enough.

We'll post any updates on this issue.

Cheers,

Mark C

As per Mark's comment above. LDAP integration with Bamboo should be operational in Release 1.1.
